POSITIVE SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION

At Momentum, we believe that real progress goes beyond financial returns

Financial success and social impact are not mutually exclusive; they reinforce one another.

That is why, together with our co-investors, we are actively committed to initiatives that enable people to participate fully in society – as an integral part of who we are.
Momentum supports a number of initiatives, including the following two, which are particularly close to our hearts: the Vliet & Burgh Foundation, which provides a safe home for vulnerable young people. We also support fundraising campaigns for athletes with disabilities.

Vliet & Burgh

A safe home for vulnerable young people

Not every child grows up in a safe environment. For young people for whom home is not a safe haven, Vliet & Burgh in Voorburg offers something that really matters: peace, structure and genuine care.
Vliet & Burgh is a youth care centre run by the Salvation Army where children and adolescents not only find a roof over their heads, but also receive intensive, tailored support. In the areas of education, social skills and emotional wellbeing, support workers work daily towards a single goal: equipping adolescents for an independent future.
Momentum supports this initiative because we believe that sustainable social impact begins with equal opportunities and that investing in youngsters is one of the most concrete ways to make a difference.

Fundraising for athletes with disabilities

Sporting for a good cause

Every year, Momentum takes part in fundraising events for athletes with disabilities. Together with our co-investors, we raise money to fund sports facilities that are not covered by the government, insurers or sports associations. In this way, we contribute to initiatives that enable people to participate fully in society.

Whereas last year 350 kilometres were cycled in a single day in Poland to raise funds, this year the legendary Tour de France climb to Mont Ventoux was tackled by bike as many as three times in a single day.

Over the years, the money raised has funded items such as: a sit-ski, a modified minibus and a lift in a French Alpine hotel, to make the accommodation accessible for disabled athletes. Here too, Momentum supports this initiative because we believe that sustainable social impact begins with equal opportunities.
