1 October 2026 – Momentum Global Ventures has completed an additional investment of approximately €40 million in Momentum Leisure, running from December 2025 to December 2026.
The investment is aimed at building new theme parks and further developing the three operational parks, in partnership with Paramount and under a licence for Nickelodeon. Part of the capital was used to repay Momentum Leisure’s loans. This strengthens its capital position and frees up credit capacity for the construction of the theme parks. The remainder is earmarked for additional investments supporting the growth strategy.
Partnership with Paramount
All Momentum Leisure parks are built and further developed in partnership with Paramount, under a licence for Nickelodeon characters, with exclusivity for Poland and Romania. With this step, Momentum Leisure is targeting a combined market of 55 million people. As owner, Momentum Leisure is responsible for the construction and operation of the parks. Paramount provides long-term design and licensing services for the Nickelodeon zones.
Board change
In view of the expanded investments and the growth strategy, Rory van ’t Schip, partner at Momentum Global Ventures, is joining the board of Momentum Leisure. He replaces board member Roland Gerets, who will focus fully on his role as Chief Marketing Officer.
Gliwice theme park in final construction phase
The completion of the Episodia theme park in Gliwice is a key part of Momentum Leisure’s growth strategy. Momentum Leisure’s fourth theme park is currently in its final construction phase. The building permit was granted in October 2025. Among other attractions, the park will feature two roller coasters from Zierer and Gerstlauer, with layouts running both indoors and outdoors.
The themepark is located on a 67,000 m² site next to the Europa Centralna shopping park, one of the largest retail destinations in southern Poland, redeveloped by retailpartner Mitiska REIM. Mitiska acquired Europa Centralna for its MEREP 3 fund and subsequently sold a plot to Momentum Leisure. The transformation of Europa Centralna is the largest retail redevelopment project currently underway in Poland.
Bucharest permit secured
The building permit for Momentum Leisure’s fifth theme park, in Bucharest, was obtained on 30 September 2026. Next to the future theme park in Bucharest, retail partner Liebrecht & wooD operates a successful outlet centre. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027.
Retail and leisure
Momentum Leisure now applies the combination of theme parks with large retail and leisure areas at multiple locations. Further expansions with its retail partners are under consideration.
