Ventures allocate $1B investments and asset transfers to the US
Amsterdam, March 5th 2026 – Dutch deep tech investor Momentum Global Ventures announced today it will move its deep tech platform with investments in critical materials, life science and energy- and climate technology to the United States. The move includes the formation of a Boston M&A and Life Science hub, and investment platforms holding various ventures that will be transferred to Delaware companies. The transition will be led by Momentum partner Joost Oostveen, accompanied by M&A team member Pieter Six and Momentum Technology Fund I strategic advisor Mike Krames.
Joost Oostveen: “The move to the East Coast is a direct result of increased investments in the US. Six of our ventures are either headquartered in the US or have announced substantial investments in the US. The combination of three recent Momentum investments in US companies, several US investments announced by our European venture Perpetual Next, and the transfer of our deep tech platform to the US are expected to increase our total investments in the US to $1 billion.”
Momentum considers Boston a perfect fit for Momentum’s deep tech portfolio: a top-three global hub for deep tech, Boston provides an ecosystem that thrives on dense, university-backed research with significant early stage and venture capital funding driving innovations in life sciences, hard tech and climate solutions.
