SunBooster, the device produced by SunLED Life Science, has won the 2026 iF Design Award in the Product Design category, discipline Medical/Healthcare. The iF Design Award is presented by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany and has served as a global benchmark for design excellence since 1954. This year’s edition received more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries, evaluated by a jury of 129 independent design experts.
SunBooster is clinically proven
SunBooster is a clip-on near-infrared (NIR) light device that replicates an essential part of sunlight absent from modern indoor environments. The device delivers a targeted dose of NIR light during daily screen use, clinically proven to support energy levels, mood and overall well-being. It can be used, for example, by clipping the device onto a monitor or laptop screen.
The technology is built on more than six years of research and development. Dr. Anne Berends, co-founder, CEO and CTO of SunLED Life Science, states in a press release via PR Newswire: “We designed SunBooster to integrate seamlessly into everyday life, because the technologies that truly make an impact are the ones people can use consistently, without changing their behaviour.”
SunBooster will roll out in more markets in 2026
